CT Technologist# # # Position Summary CT (computed tomography) technologists are radiologic technicians who specialize in taking cross-sectional x-ray images of the tissues, bones, organs and blood vessels in an area of a patient#s body. # Responsibilities ### #Obtains patient history, explains standard procedures, and addresses patient concerns ### #Produces computerized tomography scanner radiographs of specific areas as required by the departmental procedures ### #Performs a variety of tasks ### #Works under general supervision ### #A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required ### #Typically reports to a supervisor or manager ### #Performs other related duties as assigned ### #Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field ### #Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function ### #Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned # Requirements and Minimum Qualifications ### #Completion of an AMA approved School of Radiology Technology required, Nuclear Medicine or Radiation Therapy ### #ARRT certification in Radiography and/or Radiation Therapy, And/or Certification in Nuclear Medicine through the NMTCB required ### #CT certification within one year of employment required ### #BLS required # Working Conditions ### #Must be able to lift and move up to 35lbs ### #Must be able to maintain a standing and/or sitting position ### #Typical equipment used in a clinical job ### #Must be able to stoop, crouch or bend ### #Must be able to push, pull, or transport heavy equipment # About Kootenai Health: # Kootenai Health is a highly esteemed healthcare organization serving patients throughout northern Idaho and the Inland Northwest.
