Job Title: Clinical Therapist - LMHP Cost Center: Behavioral Health Services Job Description: The Clinical Therapist LMHP is responsible for providing therapeutic services to all of the patients in Behavioral Health. This includes psychosocial assessments, individual, group and family therapy. Minimum Qualifications o Education o Graduate of an accredited school with a Masters in Social Work, or Psychology or Masters in Counseling. o Credentials o Licensed Mental Health Practitioner license in the state of Nebraska OR Provisional Licensed Mental Health Practitioner in the state of Nebraska required. o BLS required. Completion of CPI training required. Physical Demands 1. Stand and/or walk frequently. 2. Sit frequently. 3. Visual, hearing, and color vision within normal limits. 4. Ability to physically help restrain a patient. 5. Bend and/or stoop frequently. 6. Grip and/or pinch within normal limits. 7. Lift 50 pounds occasionally. 8. Carry 50 pounds frequently. 9. Reach floor-overhead frequently. 10. Fine motor coordination within normal limits. 11. Computer use frequently. Essential Functions 1. Assesses patient's psychosocial history and documents in the clinical record. 2. Completes interdisciplinary treatment plan and with patient develops treatment goals. Develops treatment plan and with patient develops treatment goals. Develops treatment interventions based on patient needs and goals. 3. This position is responsible for therapy based individual, group and family therapy. 4. With the psychiatrist and interdisciplinary team, the clinical therapist coordinates patient's care including discharge planning. Education is also provided to the patient and family members. 5. This position is responsible for obtaining collateral information from patient's family, friends and outpatient therapist. 6. Interacts and participates in the education, role development and orientation of facility personnel, patients, students, families and visitors. Promotes/supports growth of others through precepting and mentoring with appropriate. 7. Attends department meetings and educational sessions; assists in training new Behavioral Health Services staff. 8. Contributes to society through activities that lead to excellent patient outcomes through timely, effective, efficient, equitable, and safe care. Actively participates in the improvement of professional quality indicators and outcomes. Such activities may include participating in professional organizations. Join us. Join great.
