Summary
The Child & Adolescent Psychologist will work with our multi-disciplinary team to provide psychology and psychiatry services to children and adolescents, ages 2 -18 with behavioral, neurodevelopmental, and emotional challenges such as depression and anxiety, attention deficit disorders (ADD/ADHD), and autism spectrum disorders. The primary focus of this role will be conducting psychological testing but a background in both testing and therapy is preferred. The Psychologist must possess knowledge and understanding of normal pediatric/adolescent growth and brain development and have experience with pediatric/adolescent mental health diagnoses and a variety of treatment milieu and psychological tests.
Required Education & Experience: Doctoral Degree in Psychology (PhD or PsyD) from an APA accredited institution. Training in child growth and development. Experience providing therapy to children with ADHD, developmental delays, mood disorders, autism spectrum disorders, complex psychiatric and neuropsychiatric conditions, and trauma-informed care (preferred).
Understands the impact of trauma and ecological, biological, and developmental factors on children and adolescents. Prior experience working with children & families (preferred). Experience using a variety of treatment milieu and psychological tests.
