Job Summary Performs duties to assist in obtaining authorization and referrals. Work involves managing scheduling, answering phones, and keeping tabs on patient#s authorization to ensure that it is current and up to date.# Initiate the process to obtain new authorization if current authorization runs out prior to the completion of the prescribed Hyperbaric therapy.# Will be trained to monitor the hyperbaric treatment and perform other task within the department that are consistent with role of CMA.# May train others. Performs related work as assigned. Qualifications Education Required High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent Experience: Preferred One year of Clerical or Medical Office experience Certification/Licensure: Required Certified Medical Assistant Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Must obtain within ninety (90) days of start date Preferred Appropriate Hyperbaric certification when requirements are met by certifying agency.#
