Job Description
Position Summary: Performs technical aspects of CT that ultimately lead to completed procedures with complete clinical history. Operates equipment in a filmless environment, administering medical x-rays on injured and/or sick patients as directed by physicians following accepted protocols and policies.# Checks the technical aspects of exams to determine the exactness of position and technique, assists radiologists as needed, prepares study for interpretation, and provides quality patient care. #A. Education: Must be certified by the state of Texas, Certified Medical Technologist (CMT) and registry eligible with the American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT).# ARRT must be obtained within 6 months of date of hire or transfer to position. #B. Training and Experience: A minimum of two years x-ray experience is preferred.# Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association required within 90 days of date of hire.
