Billing Specialist – Enrollment & Billing R epresenta tive Bring Clarity to Care Through Accurate Billing Join Evernorth Health Services and CarepathRx , where we’re transforming specialty pharmacy and infusion care. As a Billing Specialist, you help ensure patients receive the benefits they need without delay. You use your billing skills, problem solving, and attention to detail to improve reimbursement and support a better patient experience. Responsibilities • Ensure timely and accurate submission of medical and NCPDP claims to maximize reimbursement • Research and resolve claim rejections by finding root causes and taking action • Review billing trends to reduce errors and improve performance • Keep patient and insurance information current to support clean claims • Work with payors, patients, and internal teams to resolve billing issues • Support home infusion and nursing billing with strong quality and accuracy • Meet productivity and quality goals set by leadership • Share ideas and support process improvements Qualifications Required • 1+ years of experience in medical billing, collections, or related role • High school diploma or GED • Knowledge of insurance billing and reimbursement processes • Strong communication skills across phone, written, and digital channels • Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail • Basic math skills for calculations • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 • Ability to work independently and on a team Preferred • Experience with home infusion or specialty pharmacy billing • Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT-4, HCPCS, and medical terms • Medicare billing knowledge, including DMEMAC • Experience with CPR+ or HCN 360 systems • Healthcare administrative or record management experience • Strong customer service skills with a patient focus About Evernorth & CarepathRx As part of Evernorth Health Services, this role supports CarepathRx in our Pharmacy and Care Delivery team. If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload. For this position, we anticipate offering an hourly rate of 17.75 - 26 USD / hourly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
