Anesthesia Technician (0.5 Fte), Surgery Center, Bozeman at Billings Clinic

To ensure the availability and proper condition of all anesthesia equipment, monitors and supplies. Accountable to coordinate the daily activities which include: ongoing inventory of supplies and equipment; adhering to cleaning procedures for equipment; maintains logs, and Performance Improvement activities. Essential Job Functions Provides support to the Anesthesiologist. Anticipates, troubleshoots, and prepares procedure rooms with appropriate supplies, equipment, and pharmaceuticals (excluding narcotics and sodium pentothal prepared by a RN or Anesthesiologist). Maintains appropriate inventory levels for pharmaceuticals, supplies and equipment. Responsible for proper documentation; monitoring and support for maintenance, calibration, safety and repairs of anesthesia equipment. Complex issues are reported to appropriate personnel. Utilizes performance improvement principles to assess and improve quality care. Identifies needs and sets goals for own personal growth and development. Meets all system and departmental educational requirements. Supports and models behaviors consistent with Billings Clinic’s mission, vision, values, code of business conduct and service expectations. Meets all mandatory organizational and departmental requirements. Maintains competency in all organizational, departmental and outside agency standards as it relates to the environment, employee, patient safety or job performance. Performs all other duties as assigned or as needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.
