Each day you’ll prepare state‑of‑the‑art ultrasound equipment , uphold the highest standards of infection control and patient safety , and guide patients through their daytime sonography examinations with clarity, empathy, and professionalism. You’ll review patient medical history , confirm medical necessity , identify contraindications, and use expert patient positioning and ergonomic scanning techniques to deliver exceptional imaging quality while protecting your own long‑term health. Your independent clinical judgment will shine as you perform comprehensive diagnostic medical sonography , capture accurate anatomical and pathological details, obtain additional imaging when needed, document limitations, and prepare preliminary findings that directly support patient care. With strict HIPAA compliance , strong ethical standards, and a commitment to excellence, you’ll contribute to a collaborative Santa Fe healthcare environment known for its integrity and patient‑centered approach, while aligning with broader regional standards connected to Albuquerque. (This differential may be adjusted or discontinued based on business requirements.) Interested in learning more, schedule a time to chat with a recruiter Qualifications: *Associates Degree in related health science or graduate of an accredited program preferred in related field. *New Mexico Sonography License required. *Sonographer certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), and/or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) required. Must have one (1) of the following qualified modalities as an initial licensure: Diagnostic Sonography: Abdomen (AB) Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN) Breast (BR) Pediatric Sonography (PS) ARRT (S) Vascular Sonography: Registered Vascular Technology (RVT) Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) ARRT (VS) Cardiac Sonography: Adult Echocardiography (AE) Pediatric Echocardiography (PE) *Current BLS required.
