Position Highlights

Position Summary:

This clerical service position requires an employee who will assume responsibility for transcribing physician dictation via digital dictation system. Word processing software will be utilized to type physician, pathology, and radiology reports on a personal computer. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment, and provide a high quality (clear, accurate, and complete) document on a timely basis. The transcriptionist must take the responsibility to utilize research information available for dictation that is not clearly understood or the correct spelling if unknown.

Work Schedule:

Forty hours per week, Monday through Friday. The hours per day may vary in order to accommodate the census needs of the facility.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.  Previous hospital medical transcription experience required.

Licensure/Certification:

None Required.
