Therapy Patient Care Technician (PCT)

Join our team as a day shift, full-time, Therapy Patient Care Technician (PCT) in Amarillo, TX. A Therapy Patient Care Technician, also known as a mobility tech or mobility specialist, is responsible for assisting individuals with mobility challenges in achieving greater independence and improving their quality of life while receiving services within the hospital. They work closely with Patients who have physical limitations, injuries, or age-related mobility issues to assist in providing appropriate mobility interventions. A mobility tech works under the supervision and direction of nursing, and duties include assisting patients with daily mobility activities such as transfers, standing, ambulating, and toileting. Observes patients’ progress and provides updates for the clinical team on the status of the patient’s mobility and level of assistance. Participates in performance improvement activities to enhance and maintain personal and department qualifications and standards of performance.
