Join our team as a day shift, PRN, Inpatient Acute Care Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Amarillo, TX. Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in children and adults. Work with patients to improve their ability to communicate effectively, and address difficulties related to speech, voice, fluency, and comprehension. Evaluate speech, language, and swallowing disorders through assessments and standardized tests. Identify the cause of communication difficulties (e.g., developmental delays, neurological conditions, or trauma). Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs. Provide therapy for speech and language disorders, including articulation, fluency, and voice disorders. Teach patients exercises and techniques to improve communication skills. Assist patients with swallowing difficulties through targeted interventions. Work closely with families, caregivers, teachers, and healthcare providers to support patient progress. Educate patients and caregivers on communication strategies. Maintain detailed patient records and progress reports. Adjust treatment plans as needed based on patient improvement. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and professional standards.
