Summary:
Seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to work on a part-time basis to provide direct social work services to pediatric patients and their families coping with acute or chronic medical conditions in our Genetic/Oncology Clinic. The Social Worker provides psychosocial assessments, crisis intervention, case management/discharge planning, referral linkage, and emotionally supportive counseling aimed at maintaining functional behavior within families. Will participates in the identification, design and implementation of educational programs essential to the patient/family’s understanding of the disease process and medical plan of care.
Hours: Wed. & Thurs. 8am - 5pm
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
- Current LCSW Licensure in Texas.
- Prior experience working with children, adolescents —especially those with complex medical needs and their families preferred.
- Previous experience in a hospital setting preferred
- Basis Life Support (BLS) Certification for Health Care Providers required within 30 days of employment.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams across healthcare settings while maintaining a patient-centered approach.
