Summary:
The Retail Pharmacist is responsible for all aspects of retail pharmacy operation within area assigned including inventory, workflow and security with an emphasis on customer service. The Retail Pharmacist plays a critical role in advancing patient-centered care by integrating outpatient dispensing services with the broader health system. This role supports medication access, adherence, and clinical outcomes through collaboration with providers, care teams, and specialty pharmacy services.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. degree from an ACPE accredited school required
- Texas Pharmacist License or eligible for Texas Licensure as a registered pharmacist
- Pharmacist and pharmacy preceptor licensure must be obtained within 90 days of employment
- New graduates must obtain their preceptor license within 90 days after one year of being licensed as a pharmacist. ACPE Immunization Certification
- Certified Specialty Pharmacy (CSP) credential preferred
