Department Details Great co-workers, challenging and interesting work, and can build in flexibility with schedule as needed. First week of training would be on site, in office in Marshfield. Preferred candidate would be willing to come into office regularly, depending on distance from Marshfield. Summary Provides advanced legal secretarial and administrative support to attorneys and other staff within the Sanford Legal Department. Job Description Provides secretarial and administrative support to the legal department. Works collaboratively with multiple attorneys and staff members to meet the day-to-day needs of the department, including clearly communicating with internal and external individuals, managing calendars, monitoring deadlines, coordinating schedules, organizing and maintaining legal files, drafting correspondence, and processing mail and invoices. Performs administrative support tasks, such as typing, proofreading, scanning, organizing documents, and updating databases. Processes invoices, check requests, and expense reports for attorneys, law firms, experts, and other vendors. Triages phone calls, emails, and other communications. Organizes and saves legal documents and other correspondence to files. Arranges travel. Creates letters and other communications. Schedules meetings, depositions, and mediations. Responds to requests for claims histories and insurance coverage verifications. Performs other duties as assigned. Takes personal ownership of and strives to meet assigned tasks. Demonstrates professionalism with interactions with others. Possesses expertise with various office and legal software programs, including Outlook, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and Riskonnect. Has basic knowledge of litigation, pleadings, and legal terminology. Maintains confidentiality of patient and client information. Operates standard office equipment such as telephones, personal computers, copy machine, and scanner. Multi-tasks and handles multiple projects at any given time. Completes work accurately and in a timely fashion. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree preferred. At least one year of applicable experience preferred.
