Job Description

Location: Medical Center - Fort Worth Department: Radiology-IR Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Standard Weekly Hours: 20 Summary: The IR Radiographer is responsible for operating the radiographic equipment and scrubbing in to assist the physician during interventional radiology procedures through the application of advanced technical and clinical knowledge. Functions in collaboration with the interventional Radiologist and other clinical staff to provide expert care for all ages from neonatal/newborn to adults, with acuity ranges from stable outpatients to critically ill patients on full life support. Schedule: Two 10-hour shifts per week, 6:00am to 4:30pm, variable weekdays Occasional opportunity for extra shifts Once trained, this position includes rotational on-call coverage nights, weekends, and holidays Education & Experience: High School Diploma required This job serves patients from infancy (neonates) to 18 years of age Minimum of 2 years radiology experience Must possess excellent interpersonal skills Certification/Licensure: ARRT Certified Texas Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist Certified in BCLS PALS certification must be completed within 6 months of hire About Us: Cook Children's Medical Center is the cornerstone of Cook Children's, and offers advanced technologies, research and treatments, surgery, rehabilitation and ancillary services all designed to meet children's needs.
