Indirect Tax Expert

Hybrid - Upon agreement between you and your supervisor, you are entitled to a flexible arrangement where you will be able to split your time between working from the office and working remotely.

We are seeking an experienced Indirect Tax Expert to support the newly formed global indirect tax function. This role will be instrumental to support the global rollout of SAP S/4HANA and also to ensure consistent and compliant indirect tax processes across all APAC jurisdictions, while supporting respective local ongoing compliance obligations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare local indirect and statistic tax filings, mainly for APAC countries (e.g. VAT, GST, JCT)
• Establish and support standardized indirect tax processes and controls to drive accuracy, efficiency, and transparency.
• Support monitoring of global indirect tax developments
• Support the integration of indirect tax requirements within the SAP S/4HANA implementation, ensuring accurate tax determination, reporting, and automation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, IT, Legal, and Operations to ensure tax requirements are embedded in business processes and systems.

Qualifications & Experience:

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Law; professional tax qualification preferred.
• Relevant experience in indirect tax for APAC countries, ideally within a multinational environment or Big Four firm.
• Strong knowledge of global indirect tax (e.g. VAT, GST, JCT) regulations and compliance requirements.
• Proven experience with ERP tax systems (preferably SAP S/4HANA)
• Fluent in English; additional languages are an asset.
