Job Description

Under the general direction of the Director of Patient Financial Services, the Customer Service Supervisor will ensure quality service is provided to all customers of Medical Center Hospital’s Patient Financial Services Department. Requires two to five years of either a physician's office or hospital business office experience. Prefer experience with HBOC McKesson series patient accounting software. Must possess a desire and ability as an adult educator. Must be familiar with patient accounting practices and procedures. Must be able to schedule, meet, and maintain a daily and monthly workload. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Should possess analytical and problem-solving skills. Must be of sound character. Must be able to handle work stress and keep pace with the demands of a busy healthcare environment. Must be able to plan, organize, and direct computer system activities at all levels of Business Office employees and associated staff. Extended periods of sitting, extensive data entry, possible exposure to patients with infectious disease.
