Overview
Overview NaphCare is hiring a Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) to join our team of medical professionals in the Eyman Facility in Florence, AZ. As a Correctional Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT), you will work alongside correctional officers and other medical professionals to provide direct patient care and assist with hemodialysis treatments and related tasks to the individuals in residence. This is a unique position where you can make a difference to this diverse population of patients with complex mental health and medical needs.
Responsibilities The Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) provides direct patient care during hemodialysis treatments, assists with monitoring patients, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a safe and clean environment under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Responsibilities may include but not be limited to: Observing patients during hemodialysis, monitoring vital signs, and reporting any changes in condition to the nurse. Preparing and maintaining dialysis machines, ensuring proper sterilization, and troubleshooting technical issues.
Assisting with cannulation, administering medications like heparin, and providing basic care for vascular access sites. Maintaining a clean and sanitary environment, adhering to infection control protocols. Educating patients about dialysis, post-dialysis care, and healthy lifestyle choices.
