Position Highlights
Position Summary:
The Supervisor of Planet Heart is a registered nurse independently accountable for the effective management and coordination of care of the Planet Heart Program. The Supervisor of Planet Heart will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of schedules for Planet Heart area. The individual will collaborate directly with the Director of Emergency Department, Outpatient Services and Planet Heart to provide Registered Nurse, CT Technician and Vascular US Coverage as needed in Planet Heart area. This position requires this individual to be able to provide direct patient care in all the Planet Heart area as well as direct and coordinate coverage of other staff.
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday; 8-10 hour shifts
Education/Experience:
Graduate of a nursing program. Minimum of one-year adult, acute care with cardiology/cardiovascular nursing preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
Registered Nurse with current state licensure or licensure from a state within the Nursing Compact. Additional certifications are required as follows: BLS within 30 days of employment for all RNs, ACLS within one year of employment for RNs with the home department or cross trained in: PCU, ED, Cath Lab, Outpatient Services or Phase II Outpatient Cardiac Rehab, PALS or ENPC within one year of employment for RNs with ED as their home department
