Position Highlights

Position Summary:

The Supervisor-Health Information Management (HIM) has primary responsibility for timely and accurate HIM workflow throughout Avera Heart Hospital and North Central Heart Clinic.  This role ensures HIM operations align with overall department goals and expectations by coordinating HIM staff, tracking overall workflow and handling special projects. The supervisor may also serve in a variety of other HIM-related capacities to maintain the overall integrity of the medical record.  This position requires strong communication, operational management leadership skills, and an ability to interact with a variety of internal and external customers.

Work Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 8-5

Education/Experience:

High school graduate.

Previous HIM experience required.

1-3 years leadership experience preferred.

Medical Terminology preferred.  Versatility and self-direction in daily job responsibilities.
