- Northrop Grumman is seeking an experienced and motivated professional for the role of Staff Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist (Level 5) with some experience in supply chain management, or related fields.
- The successful applicant will become a part of Northrop Grumman’s Multidomain Sensing, Targeting and Survivability (MSTS) Division within the Mission Systems (MS) Sector.
- This position is a 9/80 schedule (every other Friday off), working a hybrid schedule out of the Rolling Meadows, IL facility.
- What you get to do: Sourcing and procuring specialized goods and services.
- Owning contractual management for the supplier.
- Coordinate and collaborate with key stakeholders such as contracts, engineering, quality, supplier development, planning, operations, program, and end-users.
- Prepare bid packages, conduct bidder conferences, and analyze and evaluate proposals.
- Negotiate subcontract provisions, select or recommend subcontractors, write awards, and administering resulting subcontracts.
- Develops subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and services In conjunction with quality organization, evaluate and monitor supplier quality and reliability, as well as the supplier's ability to support required delivery schedules.
- Identify strategies and opportunities to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and manage risk through strategic and targeted negotiations.
- Manages the performance of subcontracts, ensures compliance with all public law requirements as well as company (and business) policies and procedures, including import/export regulations.
- Employ sound business practices and assess supplier performance as part of follow-up activities.
- Ensure that appropriate documentation is provided to logistics/transportation & warehouse organization so that proper receipt is recorded.
