Day Shift (8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.)

A Brief OverviewAccountable for staff development expertise as an educator, consultant, facilitator, change agent and a leader in the area of support. Develops nursing expertise and fosters empowerment through knowledge to achieve excellence through the delivery of evidenced-based clinical practice. This occurs through the facilitation of the educational process through assessment, development, planning, implementation and evaluation of competency assessment, and continuing education.

What you will do:

• Provides staff development expertise as an educator, consultant, and facilitator for clinic, hospital, and long term care.
• Supports the development of the nursing staff and fosters empowerment through knowledge to achieve excellence through the delivery of evidenced-based clinical practice. This occurs through the facilitation of the educational process through assessment, development, planning, implementation, and evaluation of competency assessment, and continuing education.
• Serves as a resource in the development, implementation and evaluation of clinical protocols and practice management guidelines essential to assure compliance with care standards.
• Collaborates with the director/manager to develop and implement an education and orientation plans.
• Assists in compiling and presenting optimal care standards.
• Assists with community based education.
• Duties as assigned.

Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:

• Registered Nurse (RN) - Board of Nursing - an active license in the state of practice upon hire.
• 3-5 years of experience

Preferred Education:

• Bachelors of Science (BSN)
