A Brief Overview
Responsible for ensuring programs meet and/or exceed business goals. They will provide strategic guidance to teams and Project Managers in ways that promote the company's culture. Critical responsibilities include understanding the business strategies, establishing program plans to track incremental program milestones, interdependencies and resources. The role would network and partner with Operations management, Information Technology management and/or third-parties, to oversee efforts to resolve complex problems, and respond and deliver timely and cost-effectively quality solutions. The Program Manager will develop business metrics for assigned programs to track performance relative to business goals and success criteria.
What you will do
- Formulate, organize and monitor inter-connected programs and develop/implement recovery plans for off schedule and unanticipated changes and risks.
- Determine strategies to execute to meet the defined outcomes and objectives of the program.
- Oversee cross-program activities including, but not limited to: track program against its scope, schedule and resource objectives, perform phase review objectives, optimizing testing cycles, resource needs, and report status to execute stakeholder on regular bases.
- Lead and evaluate project managers and other staff by reviewing project documentation, identifying trends, system improvements or changes.
- Develop and control deadlines, budgets and activities to support the program outcomes.
- Apply change, risk, and resource management across the program by utilizing industry standard program management methodologies.
- Assume responsibility for the program's people and vendors.
- Assess project performance and aim to maximize ROI.
- Demonstrate value realization by utilizing data driven decision making with dashboards, reports, and program milestones.
- Ability to operate with all levels in organization, comfortable to negotiate or present to senior organizational leaders.
Essential Qualifications
The individual must be able to work the hours specified. Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
- Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) - Project Management Institute (PMI) within 3 Years or
- Project Management Professional (PMP) - Project Management Institute (PMI) within 3 Years
- 4-6 years Experience directing or overseeing multiple large scale projects with a highly diverse team.
Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
- Bachelor's in Information Technology, Business Administration, or other related field.
