  • UT Health East Texas Physicians has 90 primary and specialty care clinics and eight urgent care centers in communities across the region. Affiliated with The University of Texas at Tyler School of Medicine, we provide top-tier education, innovative research, and residency programs training future medical leaders.

Responsibilities

  • The Patient Services Representative functions as a patient services professional in a call center or clinical front desk environment.
  • Patient check-in/out, appointment scheduling, scanning and filing documents, and insurance verification.
  • Obtaining authorization, collecting payments, and charge posting.
  • Faxing medical records requests and scheduling patients for injections at the hospital.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in posting payments and charge entry
  • Basic personal computer skills and comfort with the Microsoft Windows operating system.
  • Database and word processing skills required
  • Patient record documentation skills.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time.
  • Ability to embrace the client relationship to guide decisions and actions.

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years' recent experience in a clinic or healthcare setting.
