A Brief Overview
Accountable for assisting the facilities director or supervisor in coordinating and organizing the daily operational activities of the Plant Operations Department.

What you will do

  • Coordinates the plant operations staff responsible for the operation and maintenance of facilities equipment and systems.
  • Coordinates and prioritizes work orders in an online work order management system, to meet customer and compliance needs, including scheduling shift work. Acts as liaison between all other departments and the Plant Operations Department for daily requests and needs.
  • Coordinates construction and capital projects with maintenance leadership as assigned and coordinates the work performed by outside contractors and vendors.
  • Responsible for monitoring purchase orders and purchase requisitions associated with each project. Inputs and codes invoices for the department.
  • Maintains security systems including badge and door access for all employees and vendors, and security cameras.
  • Assists with coordinating the Safety Committee.
  • Coordinates move requests for employees and/or departments and orders facility signage including directional signs and name plates.
  • Orders maintenance supplies and equipment through Meditech. Maintains records for the department as assigned.
  • Provides input to maintenance leadership for the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and programs to properly maintain the buildings, grounds, systems, and equipment in accordance with state, local, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), Occupational Safety and Health Association (OSHA), FM Global and The Joint Commission (TJC) guidelines.
  • Provides input to maintenance leadership for the department budget.

The individual must be able to work the hours specified. Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:

  • High School or GED Equivalent
  • 4-6 years facility operation and maintenance

Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:

  • Technical Certificate , associate, or bachelor degree in Construction Management
  • 1-3 years project management
