$18.50 - $24.25

Position Highlights

7:00am-7:30pm and 10:00am-10:30pm; 72 hours 2 weeks

Every third weekend and holiday rotation

A Brief Overview
Provides general office and complex secretarial duties including reception, taking referrals, managing documents, developing reports, filing, billing duties, and office communication. Instrumental in mentoring, developing, and hardwiring best practice and standardization of support specialist duties and procedures. Provides oversight to the functioning of the support specialist within Avera@Home.

What you will do

  • Serves as the Lead of the Support Specialist Work Committee and directs all Support Specialist Committee meetings. Serves on additional committees as determined by leadership.
  • Responsible for developing, keeping up to date, and delivering education and orientation to new and existing support specialist staff.
  • Serves as a resource and mentor by leading the support specialist team in processes and answers questions from support specialists regarding day to day issues.
  • Analyzes and recommends support office process excellence changes to ensure operational functions are efficient, effective, and standardized.
  • Achieves and maintains a thorough knowledge base of Meditech Home Care to include ongoing upgrades and assist in the planning and application of the system, as well as staff education to assure maximum utilization of the system aimed at cost effective and quality services. Performs and manages assigned Meditech Home Care tasks.
  • Compiles, maintains and monitors data as assigned while coordinating the preparation of reports, mailings for bereavement, volunteer, and general hospice activities.
  • Assists in the development of new programs and project coordination relevant to data collection for productivity outcomes, referral tracking and benchmarking .
  • Performs office/secretarial duties including but not limited to: greet office visitors, answer, screen, and respond to phone calls, filing, orders supplies, open and distributes mail, transpose hand written or verbal communication to typed format; collates and assembles reports, documents, and patient charts; completes accurate and timely admitting/discharge/billing data into the Meditech system.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of all services available to patients and families.
  • Maintain basic knowledge of Federal and State Regulations as well as Agency Policies and procedures as they relate to privacy, confidentiality, patient rights, infection control safety in office environment.

Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:

  • Associate's from a college or technical school
  • Related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
