Infusion Referral Nurse- REMOTE

## Job Description
Under supervision, is responsible for performing referral services to support independent physician offices with maintaining member drug infusions in office or to help offices locate a lower cost alternative treatment site (e.g., home infusion) for drug infusion services versus the hospital outpatient facility. Discusses financial and clinical considerations with members considering care at higher cost treatment sites, researches financial programs to decrease members' out-of-pocket expense for drug services, coordinates lower cost site of service for drug administration if provider is referring due to convenience factors.

## Responsibilities
- Provides site of service solutions to patients seeking care at non-preferred treatment sites (Hospital inpatient/outpatient, etc.)
- Discusses financial aspects with member and provider, coordinates lower-cost infusion at alternate site
- Provides resources for treatment outcomes, supports member copay-assistance programs
- Maintains required case load and documentation, supports clinical services like appeals, meets with management about outcomes
- Maintains accurate case records, adheres to policies and laws governing patient records

## Education & Experience
- Associate's or Bachelor's in Nursing
- RN - Registered Nurse, State/Compact Licensure
- 5+ years Clinical Experience

## Additional Qualifications
- Managed care, specialty drugs, care management, utilization review experience
- Must have current RN license
- Ability to apply evidence-based guidelines
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Clinical knowledge of specialty drugs and infusion management

## Physical Demands
- Sit stationary 50% time
- Use computer constantly
- Communicate accurately
- Occasionally lift/move 10–25 lbs

**Pay:** $74,000–$118,000
