• Responsibilities The Dietary Services Manager oversees daily hospital food and nutrition services, including cafeteria and retail operations, food production, staffing, budgeting, inventory, and customer service.
• This role ensures compliance with food safety, sanitation, HACCP, infection prevention, and healthcare regulatory standards while maintaining high-quality food service operations.
• The manager leads and develops dietary staff, manages food and labor costs, maintains survey readiness, and drives operational and quality improvements.
• Oversees daily hospital cafeteria, retail food service, and culinary operations.
• Leads, schedules, trains, and develops dietary and food service staff.
• Ensures compliance with HACCP, food safety, sanitation, infection prevention, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintains readiness for health inspections, regulatory surveys, and internal audits.
• Manages departmental budgets, food and labor costs, purchasing, inventory, and waste reduction.
• Monitors food quality, production, presentation, merchandising, and customer service standards.
• Oversees vendor relationships, inventory controls, and food production planning.
• Uses operational metrics and customer feedback to drive quality and process improvements.

• High school diploma or GED Three (3) or more years of food service experience Supervisory experience ServSafe Food Protection Manager certification or obtained within 30 days of hire Preferred Job
