Job Purpose As a Dentist at SMCHC, you’ll provide primary dental care—and in select cases, secondary care—in a community health center setting. Your role will include preventive services, patient education, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to improve oral health outcomes across our region. 🎓 Minimum Qualifications * Graduate of an accredited dental school * Licensed to practice dentistry in the State of Missouri * Current BLS certification * DEA and Missouri BNDD registrations * Proficient in EMR, electronic mail, word processing, and office management software * Strong interpersonal and communication skills * Ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and community partners * Deep understanding of modern dentistry in public health settings * Awareness of socioeconomic and legislative factors affecting public health * Collaborative spirit with a commitment to professional development and team growth * Knowledge of public health principles and practices Key Responsibilities Delivery of Dental Care * Diagnose and treat dental/oral conditions * Maintain accurate and complete patient records * Educate patients on oral health and disease prevention Management of Dental Staff * Support continuing education and training for SMCHC staff Administrative Duties * Participate in clinic committees and strategic planning * Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and protocols * Represent SMCHC at meetings and events * Contribute to recruitment and retention efforts Community Outreach * Provide technical assistance and health education * Attend community meetings and represent the dental clinic Reliability * Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality * Uphold company policies and foster positive workplace relationships * Complete tasks efficiently and professionally Full Job Description upon request.
