Achieve Something Great We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and skilled Mental Health Professional to join the Perinatal and Infant Mental Health Service (PIMHS) provides specialist assessment, consultation and therapeutic intervention for women experiencing mental health challenges during pregnancy and the first years of motherhood, with a strong focus on supporting the parent-infant relationship and promoting optimal outcomes for both mother and baby.You will become part of a highly experienced and supportive multidisciplinary team comprising Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Social Workers, Registered Nurses and Midwives who are committed to delivering evidence-based, recovery-oriented and family-centred care. Working collaboratively within this specialist service, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of mothers, infants and families during a critical period of development and wellbeing.This position is suited to clinicians seeking either full-time or part-time employment and offers the unique opportunity to join our Community Mental Health Services talent pool. As a pool clinician, you may initially fill a vacancy within PIMHS while also having the opportunity to explore future positions across our broader Mental Health Service locations, including Campbelltown, Ingleburn, Liverpool, Ambarvale, Bankstown, Fairfield, Bowral and Wollondilly. Are You the Right Fit? The ideal candidate is a compassionate and motivated mental health clinician with experience working with women experiencing perinatal mental health concerns and a genuine interest in supporting infant development and the parent-infant relationship.You will demonstrate the ability to conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, develop and implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, and work collaboratively with consumers, families and multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive outcomes. Experience supporting acutely unwell mothers and an understanding of attachment, bonding and early childhood development will be highly regarded.You are an excellent communicator who values teamwork, demonstrates empathy and cultural sensitivity, and can build therapeutic relationships with women and families during vulnerable stages of their lives. You thrive in a collaborative environment, are committed to recovery-oriented and strengths-based practice, and actively contribute to clinical excellence through ongoing learning, reflective practice and service improvement initiatives. Selection Criteria To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below. Relevant qualifications as a Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Psychologist currently registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), or qualified Social Worker eligible for registration with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), or CSU Graduates: Bachelor of Health Science (Mental Health).Please provide a detailed description of your interest and motivation in applying for this role highlighting your relevant skills & experience in providing assessment and treatment for consumers of the mental health service.Using an example, describe a time where you have had to work as part of a team to solve a problem.
