Clean Linen Technician at Medical Center Health System

Position Summary: Laundry Support Technician processes, sanitizes, and distributes facility linens.#Ensure strict adherence to infection control policies, maintaining a vital supply chain#for patient safety and comfort. Transports clean and soiled linens from all areas in#the hospital to the laundry department. Manually loading/unloading heavy wheeled#carts and maintain compliance and sanitation standards. Restocks carts. Issue#pillows as needed and document usage to track inventory. Education: 1. High school diploma or equivalent required 2. Able to read, write and count.# 3. Must be able to follow instructions.# 4. Ability to communicate well. Training and Experience: 1. Must have current and valid Class C driver#s license 2. Must be 21 years of age or older 3. Previous laundry, dry cleaning or hospital Environmental Service# experience a plus Job Knowledge: Knowledge of all types of linens and general truck maintenance. Unusual Physical Demands and Working Conditions: Ability to perform: 1. Stand, bend and walk for extended periods 2. Pulling and pushing carts 3. Heavy lifting# B. Exposure to infectious diseases
