Qualifications

• Repairs, calibrates, and maintains a variety of biomedical equipment, devices, instruments, and medical systems.
• Inspects, installs, and performs inventory assessments and preventive maintenance of clinical equipment.
• Responds to service requests and completes maintenance inspections.
• Will record medical device repair and maintenance history in CMMS database.
• Works with IS teams and vendors to address medical device security.
• The technician is mentored by more senior technicians while completing projects, following up on equipment recalls, and interacting with medical staff to reduce operator errors and equipment malfunctions.
• Licensure/Certification

Qualifications

• Associates degree required with a preference in biomedical or electronics program.
• OR 1 year of experience with repair and maintenance of medical equipment.
• Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license as verified through appropriate licensing agency.
• Must meet the driving requirements and criteria acceptable to Essentia Health 's insurer.
