You will provide clinical oversight, coordinate safe staffing and patient flow, and ensure timely, effective care for patients presenting with a wide range of acute conditions.You will play a key role in supporting and guiding nursing staff, providing clinical leadership during busy shifts, assisting with escalation and decision making, and contributing to a positive, resilient team culture. Youll work closely with the Clinical Nurse Manager, nursing team, ED physicians, allied health and support services, in an environment that values teamwork, adaptability and high quality care.For more information on living and working in Hawkes Bay click HEREAbout youYou are an experienced and confident Emergency Department nurse with strong leadership capability and excellent clinical judgement. You will have:Current registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and a valid Annual Practising CertificateSignificant clinical experience in Emergency or acute care settingsDemonstrated leadership ability or experience supporting teams in a senior nurse roleExcellent communication, prioritisation and decision making skillsAbility to remain calm and provide leadership in high pressure situationsCommitment to quality improvement, patient safety and clinical governanceA current PDRP portfolio at proficient level or aboveUnderstanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and commitment to equitable health outcomesDesired:Postgraduate qualification (or working towards)Core Advanced certificationExperience with roster coordination, patient flow or service improvement initiativesWorking at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
