• Summary Continual and direct patient contact.
• Performs diversified tasks and duties associated with inpatient admissions, surgery, emergency and outpatient registrations.
• Facilitate patient payments and answers the CWH Switchboard.
• Discusses financial responsibility with patients, maintains accurate patient account information, verifies insurance and provides excellent service to all contacts.
• May participate in some Financial Counseling functions.
• Works closely with Clinical Staff including continual communication to ensure quality patient care.
• IT trouble shooting for Clinical staff and Physicians.
• Denial Management support and research.
• Position Reports To: Patient Access Manager Essential Functions Admit/register patients in a timely and efficient manner using multiple methods of communications (bedside, in-person, over the phone, etc.).
• Obtain all required admission/registration information to ensure an accurate medical record is created.
• Perform insurance verification and accurately code insurance to provide accurate billing information.
• Complete forms, applications and documents accurately and in a timely manner.
• Complete daily work queues, self-correct errors, participate in audits and performance improvement projects.
• Answer incoming calls to the hospital including internal calls and page emergency codes per Confluence Health code protocol.
• Maintain physician on-call schedule.
• May participate in providing Financial Counseling to self-pay and under insured patients.
• Demonstrate understanding of CCP and inform patients of our CCP process.
