Schedule

Assignment Based - Shifts will vary depending on the department staffing needs. Sunday through Saturday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Banner Staffing Services (BSS) offers Registry/Per Diem opportunities within Banner Health .

• POSITION SUMMARY This position performs prescribed radiographic procedures in accordance with department/facility/state policies, procedures and protocols.
• This position ensures optimal care/treatment to patient population.
• CORE FUNCTIONS Performs the setup and acquisition of prescribed radiographic procedures in accordance with established departmental/facility/state policies and procedures.
• Educates patients/families regarding the procedure and/or treatment to be performed.
• Performs the processing of prescribed diagnostic radiographic procedures in accordance with established departmental/facility/state policies and procedures.
• Performs and evaluates equipment quality control measurements in accordance with established departmental/facility policies and procedures.
• Ability to trouble-shoot and notify appropriate personnel to maintain equipment performance.
• Ensures the efficient operation and workflow of the department by scheduling and re-evaluating workflow throughout the day.
• Ensures exam rooms are stocked, performing room set-up, establishing patient transport, and schedule coordination with multi-disciplinary team members.
• Prepares and maintains accurate documentation in accordance with established departmental/facility policies and procedures.
• Adheres to safety policies.
• Independently performs prescribed radiographic procedures in accordance with department/facility/state policies, procedures and protocols to patients.
• Internal customers: All levels of medical imaging and nursing management and staff, medical staff, and all other members of the interdisciplinary health care team.
• External Customers: regulatory and health agencies, patients and family members.
• MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
• Requires Practical Radiologic Technologist or Limited Scope Technologist licensure by state regulatory agency if applicable.
